Hosting a party? Give them a taste of the south with this classic Ro-Tel dip. You'll be surprised how tasty this is and how quickly it will disappear from your crock pot!
Ingredients
- 2x 32 ounce original Velveeta cheese blocks
- 2x 10 ounce cans Ro-Tel Tomatoes Diced & Green Chilies original
- 10-12oz your beer of choice
- 1 Tbsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp chili powder
- 1/4 tsp cayenne
Directions
- Cut up the Velveeta block into 1 inch sized cubes
- Turn your crock-pot to high and place half of the cheese inside to warm up
- Stir every 5 minutes or so until somewhat warm and melted
- Place the other half of cheese cubes inside, along with 4 ounces of beer and the two cans of Ro-Tel
- Continue stirring every 5 minutes or so
- Keep an eye on the temperature and if the sides begin to bubble or burn, turn it down to low or warm. It eventually turns into a balancing act from having it completely off or on the warm setting
- Once those ingredients are somewhat combined and cheese is a similar consistency, add the spices above and some more beer
- Stir slowly to combine well and add more beer as necessary
- Taste and add any extra spices you desire
- Serve!
